The Veterinary Teaching Farm - University of Peradeniya

The Veterinary Teaching Farm (VTF) established in a 35 acre block of land at Uda-Peradeniya, within the campus property. It has the following production units, namely; The Dairy unit, Goat production unit, Swine production unit, two separate Poultry units for Layers and Broiler birds and a Fodder production programme. These units provide the necessary facilities to impart a comprehensive practical training to the veterinary undergraduates in all aspects of Animal Production and Health.

The farm also provides technical guidance on animal production and surplus breeding stocks to the farming community. Sale of farm products such as milk, eggs, and broilers bring in a regular income to the university.
