increase the understanding between dogs and humans
to help the locals in Sri Lanka by our social projects
We exclusively help and work at side in Sri Lanka –
we aren’t just exporting problems to other countries
An animal’s life is far from easy in Sri Lanka.

People’s awareness of animals is still very limited.

There are an estimated 40 million stray dogs, who
suffer from hunger and untreated desease.

Only too often they are shot, beaten to death or
gassed.

Many people who own dogs are poor and can not
afford vets’ fees, so the major share of our treat-
ments are done free of charge.

Most dogs live on the streets, most every day we
have to find dogs in an appalling state.

Unspayed bitches produce several litters of puppies every
year, which are simply abandoned in front of temples or
our gate.

These puppies are usually too small to have the slightest
chance of survival.

Most of them die of hunger or parasites, or fall victim to
animal abusers.

It is a vicious circle – the animals which survive go on to
produce their own offspring…

..that’s why since the very beginning of th DCC a consequent
Vaccination & Neutering Program on all 365 days of the year
has always been one of our main objectives.

Please give them hope – Please help us to help !

Please support us, so we may keep our project sustainable –
Here you’ll find all the ways, how you can help us.
Most dogs come to us quite weak, malnourished and too often with
open wounds.

Many sick or injured animals are placed at our front gate or simply
thrown over the wall at night.

After successful treatment we either return them to their familiar
environment to care for them on our Daily Tours or we try to find
good ReHome Foster Families for them.

Badly injured, handicapped and old dogs, that are no longer able to
live in their environment, may stay with us and continue their life
in dignity, or we get them a place in our DCC 50+ Project.

All this has to be funded…
For the moment being a +80% still have to be financed by
Marina Möbius – our founder – so

Please consider a donation !

Please consider a sponsorship !
